  2. I came across your blog via pinterest. I don't live in your area, my child will never attend the school you taught at or the nursery school you currently work at. I will probably never meet anyone whos life you touched by being their teacher.... I simply wanted to let you know that i admire what you are doing.... i admire how much heart and passion you put into what you do. Thank you for making a difference in so many childrens lives who desperatley need the love and attention and care that you clearly provide. There needs to be more teachers, mothers, women, genuine, good-hearted people in this world just like YOU!!! May God bless you always as he has blessed all of the children and families whos lives you have surely touched.

    Sincerely,
Mary (single mother from Los Angeles California)

    1. Dear Mary,
Thank you so very much for your sweet email. You made my day (week, month, year :). I am so inspired by you... I can't believe you took the time to thank someone who will have no impact on anyone you know. I think gratitude is so important and yet I don't think I have ever reached out personally to say thank you in the way that you did. Please know that I am so very touched by your kindness. Your children are very lucky to have such a generous mother.

  4. I am wondering what kind of fasteners you used for your fantastic cardboard castle. I love it and want to do one in my pre-k classroom. Thanks!

You probably don't remember me but I used to work at that big Law Firm you mentioned. I remember when you had your first born - you were close friends with another attorney and new mom, whom I had the privilege to worked for. It was a lovely time to watch two young moms share and compare notes on new motherhood. Now, as a mother of a 4 year old boy (another woman who found a rewarding occupation later in life "motherhood") I am eagerly trying to find ways to combine learning and fun together. This blog is just a perfect resource for that! It is obvious you put so much thought and passion into what you do for the sake of the little ones. Thank you for that - and I can't wait to read your future ideas as well!

  6. I was so pleased to see your display of the Bright Jollly Snowmen poem. I nade that up in my shower years ago because I was tierd of just white snowmen in my kindergarten room and needed a "reason" to make them colorful. I wanted a way to brighten up the room while still giving a nod to the season. I have many former students who have that poem in their poetry notebooks. It was a treat to see that you became aware of the poem. Do you remember how you found it? I am so pleased to think it is out in the "great beyond" being enjoyed. I hope your school year is delightful. Patty Fotheringham, Bellevue, Washington.
