I love this apron that I made a couple years ago for a friend who came into my class twice a week to help with Kid Writing. It was simple and inexpensive.
I bought a large apron at Joann Fabrics for about $5 (with a coupon). I used a pencil and lightly marked off 22 squares. The kids each used fabric markers to write their name and draw a picture of themselves in one square. I then asked one child to write "We Love Vicky." When we were done, I simply erased my pencil lines. This would also be a great gift for a teacher (I would love one to use when we are doing messy projects and it made me smile to remember each of the kids when I borrowed the apron for this post). If you are here from Pinterest, thanks for stopping by. Please check out some of my other posts and follow me. Thanks!
This would make a great gift for a volunteer! I have a volunteer who comes once a week and works with one child from my class. Each year, I take a picture of the volunteer and the student working together and frame it. The student signs his/her name on the bottom edge of the black frame with a silver paint pen. i have the student give it to the volunteer as a thank you gift.

I think photographs are such a special gift and I'm sure that it is treasured by the volunteer.
